Did you know that Uganda was once a symbol of excellence and hospitality?
Are you aware that Uganda’s youths are among the most creative entrepreneurs in the world?
Have you experienced the frustration of low productivity of the working population in Uganda?
Do you hear about the deteriorating work ethics in the country?
Genesis of the WCE Day
Prompted by the above realities the Institute of Work Culture and Ethics (IWCE), is spearheading the preparations for the Work Culture and Ethics (WCE) Day 2019. The WCE Day is about promoting ethical work practices in Uganda; show-casing available best practices and approaches to nurturing WCE; and rewarding institutions and individuals that are contributing to reversing the negative trend. Activities leading to the WCE Day are already under way and will be crowned on July 25, 2019 with a large mob dancing event and award giving ceremony at Hotel Africana.
Ethics at the work place is a collective responsibility. As individual players, our efforts to call attention to ethics may go down un-noticed; however, together we can make a difference in our organizations and our land. Stand up and be counted among Ugandans that say, YES! to ethical work practices.During the Work Culture and Ethics Day (July 25, 2019), there will be a corporate flash mob (Dance) of at least 1500 corporate people promoting ethics at the work place. Time – 05.00 pm to 06.00 pm prompt; and venue – Seven Trees in Kololo (near Kololo Air Strip).
